HOW TO APPLY YOUR PRESS-ON NAILS
Get ready for salon results in under 10 minutes.
Watch how easy it is to press, slay, and repeat — whether you’re going for long-wear confidence with nail glue or quick-change flexibility with adhesive tabs.
PRO TIPS
- Start with your dominant hand. When applying, apply to your dominant hand first. It's a little harder to apply press-on nails when you're wearing them, so ensure your dominant hand is doing the trickier application.
- If using adhesive tabs — prep all at once. Apply tabs to every nail first, then remove all plastic backings before applying your nails. It’s faster, cleaner, and ensures perfect positioning.
- Prep the cuticle line. Gently push back your cuticles as part of your prep. Position each press-on as close as possible to the cuticle line — this creates a seamless, salon-fresh look every time.
- Glue with Intent, one nail at a time: If using glue, complete one nail at a time. Apply a generous, even layer of glue, position your press-on, and press immediately to achieve a secure, lasting bond.
- Use the right glue for the job: Every order includes our free brush-on glue — designed for even coverage, more control, and less mess. Use it for a smooth, consistent, generous application and longer wear. We’ve still included the mini dropper glue in each nail kit — because it's perfect for touch-ups, travel, or quick fixes on the go.
- Choose your hold time: For up to two weeks of wear, use glue. For a shorter hold of up to two days, choose adhesive tabs. Both deliver a flawless finish — it simply depends on your schedule.
- Angle for Perfection: Apply at a 45° angle starting from the cuticle line to avoid bubbles and ensure a seamless finish.
- Skip the H2O: Avoid water or steam for the first 2 hours after application to let the adhesive fully cure.
- Press. Slay. Repeat: Keep your leftover tabs and prep tools in your Nail Nation packaging— you’ll be ready for your next set anytime.
